Texas Grillhouse in LaVale

Atmosphere was effectively Texan with several TVs showing sporting events. Although the place was not overly busy, our service was slow (one coffee refill for which I waited 15 minutes without explanation). Food was tasty. Haddock was a bit dry but flavorful; broccoli was overcooked; grilled chicken on salad was on small side. Late Sunday afternoon may not be the best time to stop. We do plan on stopping on our next trip through in June.

First time ever to a Texas grillhouse. I was blow away by how friendly the staff was and our server was awesome. So service is 5 stars. However the food is less that mediocre especially for the price. My first steak was well done when I ordered medium. The server brought me another which came quickly however it had the funniest after taste. You can tell they are frozen steaks. They should NOT be $20+ all in all probably wont return.

Pricey for the level of food served. The crab cakes were basically mostly filling with some crab thrown in. I was there before and had the ribs, a specialty, they were ok.

Very good working class steak house. Friendly staff . My steak was prepared just how I ordered it. The vegetable sides were FRESH! The portions were very good sized and reminded me of a good home cooked meal.The food arrived timely and at the proper temperature. I gave it 5 stars because in their league they are batting 1000. I am not comparing Texas Grillhouse to a Morton's or Ruth's Chris. Good value for what you spend.

I had the cream of crab soup with a small salad. The salad was bagged salad with sliced red onions & 2 cherry tomatoes. I found several small pieces of crab shell in my soup. I've given the place 4 stars because my kids loves their cheese burgers & fries. My hubby's pulled pork looked good & there were no complaints from him. Our waiter was fantastic. He had an upbeat personality & my kids really liked him. Bathrooms were clean & thats always a plus. I'll have to try something else when I come back. I was not impressed with my meal.

Real food ! Coleslaw was delicious, fries were extra crispy and bbq was great. Waitress was very attentive. We’ll be back!

Kinda respectful staff and great food.

My husband and I go here every year on our anniversary and are usually very happy. This year however we were not ! Our server Terri was great but the meal was really bad. Our blooming onion was really salty and greasy and uncooked at the bottom. My husband ordered The Marshall which was tender but thin as a piece of round steak and rather small. I ordered the expensive combo 10oz steak, ribs, and fried shrimp. The four fried shrimp were hard, the ribs were (boiled) tender and had good sauce but the 10oz steak looked like four ounces and was dry and so gummy my husband ended uptrading me for the rest of his steak. We paid $71 (before tip!) for a meal that tasted like it came from a cheap steakhouse. And it was early afternoon with hardly anyone in the restaurant so I can’t even give them slack for being busy! Sadly it was a very disappointing visit this year.

Great visit, waiter (Dalyn) even turned of the fan to make our visit more comfortable. Food was great filling even had some to take home!

The prices are not good , 4 people got the same thing and the prices wasn't the same. 10 women eatng lunch, all seperate checks

Prices are ok Service was good. Restaurant clean. Food was eh! Ok. Our salads were watered down. The dressing was watered down too. My husband got beef tips with peppers and onions. Some tips were cook right(med) some over cooked. No seasoning on the beef, onion and peppers were under cooked. I got the salmon, it was way over cooked and bland tasting. No seasoning at all.

My favorite resturant I love their potato soup

My wife and I had dinner here on a weeknight in early Nov 2019. We are fans of Texas Roadhouse restaurants. This restaurant is a copy of that restaurant chain, right down to the way the staff announces birthdays in the dining room. We enjoyed the meal and had no complaints. We were staying next door at Comfort Inn and this restaurant was just right, that night. No problems.

I don't have anything negative to say about this restaurant. I think we only waited about 12 minutes for our food. And we had a party of five people. The food tasted absolutely incredible. It was cooked perfectly and displayed nicely. Our waiter was really kind and always made sure we were all good. We ate outside on such a nice day. This place is a perfect example of how a restaurant should be run. I highly recommend you bring you family to the Texas Grill House for some classic America food.

We love going to Texas Grillhouse. The food is good and the atmosphere is always pleasant. Everyone is friendly and makes sure your food is prepared write and your drinks are filled.

The food was good. It is always consistently decent to good. However the service tonight when we went with less-than-stellar. We had to wait an abnormally long timeshe get anything that we would have needed like refills or condiments or anything like that. It was a relatively slow night with multiple servers and it just seemed that the wait staff had other things to do than be on the floor taking care of customers. I will say that most every other night we've gone the service has been fantastic but tonight it just wasn't

Great find during our road trip from RVA to Pittsburgh. We had tried Texas Roadhouse and Texas Steakhouse plenty of times, but never a Texas Grillhouse! I really appreciated the atmosphere and the friendly service. I ordered a seafood platter that was pretty good, but in hindsight I should have tried something a little heartier or more...Texas-y.

Great place to eat. Awesome waitresses and great food. My husband and I eat here atleast one every 2 months on our special dates.

The food was really good to me. My family stated that they had made some changes to menu items, but it was my first time so I can't comment on that. The service was really good. The manager and cook came out several times ro talk and mingle with us. Laid back environment.

I give stars because is was so pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant in this are that thinks outside the box. The menu was very eclectic, so many things to choose from, loved the varsity with the overall theme of the restaurant. The brisket was outstanding and the baked beans are some of the best and most unique I have ever had. Next time we travel through this will a definite stop.

Excellent food and service. Our server Jessica was extremely busy but was there when we needed and even when we didn't. Top notch is all i can say she was.

My son and I have been coming here for our once a week dinner together for almost 8 years . I could not say enough good things about the place. The food is always fresh and the staff wonderful. They have our business as long as the place stands.

Brisket was tender and the Original flavor sause I had was good. Broccoli was very well cooked also, nice and soft and hot. My husband had the ribs which also looked very tender. He did not care for the cole slaw but the service was phenomenal and we will definitely go back when traveling through this way again.

We have gotten take out from them twice since the COVID shutdown and both times it has been delicious! The service was excellent and the food was hot and ready when we picked it up.

Excellent food and service!!

Do not go if vegetarian. Very very mediocre food choices. Barley any options without meat of fried food. Made me want to cry but I was with a large group of adults and that is not socially acceptable. My food was cold. and unhealthy.

Could only give them 2 stars this time. Service was still good. But the food was mediocre at best.. it might have been because we got different things this time but we also noticed a lot of changes in the menu. Bring back what was working and stick to it.

I think because I was there right as they opened that may be the reason my steak was cooked unevenly.. medium to medium well on one end and medium rare to rare on the other. As far as flavor goes, the taste was spot on. Waitress was friendly and timely. A little cheap on the to go cups but I can understand that. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy their food as well. Overall good experience.

All of the kids loved the food, even the adults. Great customer service. Prices are definitely reasonable.

Ribs!! Fall off the bone tender!! Bacon wrapped jalaenos....DELICIOUS!! Our server, MELISSA C....She knows how to do SERVICE..wish she worked at every establishment we patronize !!!!
